Astounding

Slow down, speed up...big deal. Analyzes and shows every chord, including notes and chord shapes for a slough of instruments, individually.

Missing notes on iPad

This will not show notes for instrumentals in tab on iPad maybe on a Mac need more chord options like four finger moveable chords or a way to edit the chords and possible chop chords Just a upgrade suggestion

good app but needs more features

ive been using the capo app on my mac and i really like the tab features on it. i wish they have that on this app too.

So so so useful

An absolutely fantastic tool for musicians at any level. Cross-device workflow makes it easy to work at home and at jam sessions.

Save your money

This app. Is ok but not great. Not worth the money.

Not great

Tried a few songs I knew how to play and didnt track anywhere close to the proper chords

nothing but crash !

when I trying to open any music file, app always crash. I can do nothing with this app..... iPhone6plus 2.41.00 iOS8.4

Poor chord detection

The chords detected by Capo are quite far from what they should be, as is the tempo and the time signature. It also ignores the fact that the tempo and the time signature can change within a song. This makes Capo useless for anything but very basic songs, which, as an amateur musician, I can already easily play along while listening for the first time. Unfortunately, it fails to help with the more complex songs where Id appreciate some help. So, if you intend to use this for any sort of semi-serious work beyond the simplest tunes, it is a waste of your money.

Fantastic...but

This app is absolutely wonderful. No more rewinding the song 15 times to try and nail a turnaround. It makes it super simple. The only two issues I have with this app is 1; you cannot change from chords to numbers. If you play in the real world, nobody other than churches uses "chord charts" its all numbers. 2; theres no way to print or share the charts. Please fix both of these things! Bottom line, though, Ive only had it for a day and its already made life easier.

I love this app but

I need to be able to turn off the "snap to the detected beat" when adjusting regions. I hope the developers add this simple option. The way it is now, regions never snap to where I need them to. Very frustrating. I still use the old Capo app for this reason.

Capo Touch

I am disappointed in this version of Capo. I do not find it intuitive at all. A lot of features on the previous version are lost. An instruction manual would be helpful.

Feels like the future

I dont understand why this interface feels strange to some... I find it very easy to use. The capabilities of Capo are simply beyond belief. It really works as advertised and does the looping, tempo and transposition all in real time and simultaneously. It really is futuristic. Its almost a reason to buy a iOS device all on its own.

Incredible app!

As a guitarist, this app has been fantastic. I play a lot of music that is far out of the mainstream (indie bluegrass gospel) and Capo Touch allows me to find odd chords and progressions that Im unfamiliar with. The full range of capabilities of the app is much more than I personally use very often, but Im thrilled with the ability to analyze my favorite songs in order to play them just like they were written.

It is alright.

On some songs it gets the chords right but in the wrong positions. Others it is not even close.... Oh in one song I put a capo on 5th fret and changes the sound of the song... But I know it is right. Pls fix and I will give it 5 stars. Thanks

Best app ever!

I love this because it gives me accurate guitar chords!!

Wow, what happened to your great app???

My old version of Capo stopped working, it just kept crashing. I’m going to assume it was because of this new version. I would say old Capo was my absolute favorite app of all time. I’ve been using it for several years. I loved how easy it was to identify sections of songs, repeat, skip to the next section of song I wanted to work on. I am no at all a fan of this new version. Aside from it is clunky and doesn’t upload songs consistently and sticks constantly. Much of the functionality I used to love is gone. Bookmarks was way way better than regions or whatever it is called. skipping to the next section of bookmarks was a breeze. Tempo changes and repeating a section was easier way way too much need for scrolling around. If you didn’t shut off the old app that I happily paid I think 20 bucks for, I’d have tried this one out and just said meh I don’t need the functionality but to take away such a great app and remove many of the best features is just disappointing. I’d happily pay more money to get the old Capo back on my phone.

Great app and great update.

Loved the app before but so glad they updated for the iPhone 6 Plus.

Possible improvements

Hey Im a worship leader and I play a number of instruments I think your app is great, but I think it could be even better. Right now your app is mainly geared towards rhythm guitarists or people just playing for fun which is great. I think if you added a feature for lead guitarists that would let you switch from chords to notes it would be awesome. Maybe add something for drummers and bass players to that would really make this app awesome if I could use it to teach my whole band a new song on the fly.

Love Capo Touch!

I purchased Capo Touch for my iPhone Plus and I love it! I am using this for my own composing and performance and also for my clients and students. This saves so much time in my sessions - the chords are quickly available so we can spend necessary time working on technique, writing, and performance. I wish I had this years ago but am so glad I have this now. I highly recommend Capo Touch for all professional musicians and students - it will save so much time so you can focus on skills, technique, artistry, and creativity.

Great Find!

This app is a great discovery! It allows you to quickly sort out new songs or chart your old ones if you need to teach them to someone else. Just load an mp3 and the chord detection lays out the song for you. If you need to slow it down to figure out the nuances, just grab the slider and move it to the left and theres no noticeable loss of sound quality. In this way you can really get a handle on what you need to play to make the track work. I will be getting a lot of usage out of this. Very cool.
